SUMMARY:Training of Trainers\, Austin\, TX
DESCRIPTION:Your Journey as a Trainer \nJoin us for two days of interactive sessions that will support participants as they begin the journey to becoming a trainer of their colleagues\, peers and other early childhood professionals.  We will gather basic information on what it means to become a trainer in the field of Early Childhood and how to start the process. We’ll take a look at state licensing requirements and quality standards for trainers and national accreditation opportunities.  Participants will be writing learning objectives and preparing instructional plans to help them advance through their journey. There will be interactive review of developing learning objectives and how training content should relate. Participants will discover various modalities to present activities and share their own knowledge\, experience and expertise. Participants will discuss and identify methodologies and techniques for effective training presentations. \nFor Intermediate/Advanced participants who are seeking to renew their trainer certification\, we’ll embark further on the adventure into incorporating relevant adult learning principles and how a trainer can add additional strategies in their design and delivery of training content. These sessions will enable the trainer to explore additional information and activities to effectively share with their participants. Trainers will observe and relate various training presentation skills that are designed to engage learners to make their individual trainings more enjoyable\, interesting and the content memorable. \nPresenters:     Sue Hancock\, BAAS\, CCHC \nMarlyn Kramer\, M.Ed\, CCHC \nThe training will take place from 12:00-4:00pm on day 1 and 9:00am-1:00pm on day 2. \nLunch will NOT be provided. \nRegistration rates are as follows: \n-$285 for members of TXAEYC\, membership number is required. \n-$305 for non-members \nRegister HERE.
