Carolyn Callahan

With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education, I have dedicated my career to ensuring that every young child in Texas has access to high-quality learning experiences—and that the educators who serve them are respected, supported, and empowered. In my current role as Education Service Manager for Head Start of Greater Dallas, I lead leaders who coach and mentor teachers, strengthen classroom quality, and partner with families to support each child’s success.

I am a long-time active member of NAEYC and have served in several key leadership roles. These include six years on the Northeast District Child Care Licensing Advisory Committee; ten years on the TXAEYC Board, including four years as Vice President of Membership; and seven years as co–past president of the Dallas AEYC Board. I also proudly serve as a member of the Texas Early Childhood Education Consultant Network (TECECN).
