Governing Board Members MeetingTXAEYC is governed by the Governing Board which is composed of 13 elected and appointed individuals who provide oversight and leadership of the organization. All members of the Governing Board are members of TXAEYC.

About the TXAEYC Governing Board 

The TXAEYC Governing Board is responsible for setting the vision and strategic goals of the organization as well as ensuring proper governance of the organization and sound financial management of the organization’s resources. The Board meets virtually and in-person several times a year to review financial reports, monitor implementation of the strategic plan, set policies for the organization, and ensure the organization is meeting the needs of members and the early childhood field.  

All travel related to board meetings and activities are covered by TXAEYC. Meetings are set based on the availability board members and often take place in evenings and on weekends. The Board plans to meet every other month between June 2022 – May 2023. 

The Board is composed of the following positions –
