Earn your Director Credential with TXAEYC & Shade Tree Learning

The course is recognized by Texas Health & Human Services Commission-Child Care Licensing. Once completed, you will receive a training certificate for 50 hours (25 hours of Child Development and 25 hours of Business Management) and a Director’s Credential. This credential can be used as the education portion of your application with Child Care Regulations to become a director in the State of Texas.

This training is provided by Rhonda Crabbs of Shade Tree Learning in partnership with TXAEYC. With over 30 years of experience, Rhonda has taught in public schools, ran an in-home program, and owns an early childhood program. She has been a child care consultant and trainer in the State of Texas since 2007 and is an adjunct college professor. 

To participate in the class, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and have at least two years of experience in a licensed child care program.
