Ontara Nickerson

I recently graduated with my Bachelors in Child Development and Family Studies at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. As I continue my career appreciate the opportunity to expand my career as a member at large on your governing board to continue to gain hands on experience in the field of early childhood. During my professional development, as well as my current position, I am able to apply positive guidance strategies, share developmentally appropriate activities along with health and safety principles, and implement the close needs for ECE providers and the connection between TXAEYC and child care provider through collaborative efforts and community resources and connections. During my continued collaboration through FWAEYC I have been able to continue TXAEYC’s mission by continuing to empower and inspires a community of early childhood professionals through advocacy, resources, and collaboration to effectively serve young children and their families. It will be an honor to continue to be a part of TXAEC family, sharing the same vision that each and every child in Texas experiences a safe, joyful, and respected early childhood. It is important that we continue to unite unique individuals that share the same belief that as EC educators, we should support each child in every community to achieve their developmental domains through a safe, healthy, stimulating, and hands-on environment while partnering with communities and families.
