I have twenty-eight years of experience in the area of child development, psychology, and education including (but not necessarily limited to) administration, early learning, elementary, high school, undergraduate, and graduate level courses. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and in Education, Master of Arts degree in Special Education, Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Education; and completed a course program for Doctor of Psychology. I am Board Certified for Special Education from Early childhood to 12th grade for the State of Texas. I also hold Early Childhood Administrator Credentials from the State of Oklahoma and Delaware as well as Early Childhood Teacher Certification from the State of Delaware. Additionally, I am on the rolls with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System as master trainer to provide training for early learning professionals with resources and tools to help them meet their professional development needs. The TECPDS defines professional development as any opportunity that enhances the knowledge and skills of those working with young children, including training, education, and employment. Further, I am an Infant and Toddler external training specialist for Children’s Learning Institute (CLI) that provides training for early childhood teachers as well as administrators. In October 2018, I completed the required training for a Healthy Child Care Consultant through the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children and Texas Department of Health and Human Services. My educational background and training experiences have provided me with the necessary tools to equip and prepare me to train other educators. Moreover, I have spoken and presented both nationally and internationally through various educational organizations on areas of early learning promoting high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research.
