Holly Barber-Gatlin

VP of Membership & Chapter Relations

Holly Barber-Gatlin, M.Ed. is the Founder and Executive Director of Operations for The LUX Schools, a Montessori-inspired early learning system serving children from infancy through school age. With over sixteen years in education, Holly’s experience spans classroom teaching, program leadership, and trainer development. She is a TECPDS Registered Trainer and holds an AMS Montessori Administrator Credential, National Director’s Credential, and Texas teaching certification (EC–4 ESL).

Holly is passionate about advancing TXAEYC’s mission by promoting equitable access to high-quality early learning and empowering the early childhood workforce through professional development and leadership training. A Texas Rising Star 4-Star leader and advocate, she partners with educators and families to create inclusive, developmentally appropriate environments where children thrive.
She holds a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from UHCL and a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma. Outside of her professional work, Holly is a devoted mother of three and proud grandmother, finding joy in family life, faith, and community service.
